Analog Tube Saturation Emulator

Nothing warms up a vocal track (or pretty much any track) like being recorded through a high quality analog tube preamp.

Auto-Tune’s Warm is a highly DSP-efficient tube saturation plug-in, meaning you can use it on a multitude of tracks simultaneously. Furthermore, its intuitive interface and dynamic Drive control let you adjust the saturation levels and track volume in real-time. Warm recreates the authentic effect of an analog tube or a high-end mic preamp directly in your DAW. The two saturation models—Velvet and Crunch—can be easily fine-tuned to satisfy the needs of audio engineers and music producers across all genres.

A saturation plug-in brings the analog tube vibe into the digital realm, with the typical warm effect of vintage preamps that can add depth and color to vocals, guitars, and even string instruments. A tube saturation plug-in is a must-have for all kinds of music producers because it adds an authentic, analog feel to your tracks and creates a more cohesive, enveloping soundscape.

The Input gain on the left side of the plug-in window gives you control over the track's volume before it hits the tube, while the Output gain allows you to adjust the instrument's volume after the plug-in is applied. Regulating the output signal is fundamental as the saturation plug-in will naturally increase the track's volume, and clips might occur. There are two models of analog tube saturation: Velvet and Crunch. The former provides a more subtle saturation, ideal for vocals and string instruments, whereas the latter is suitable for adding a thicker distortion to an electric guitar. Finally, with the Drive control, you can adjust the amount of tube saturation. When applying Warm, make sure you regulate the Drive and Output controls as you increase the saturation level: a rule of thumb is that the higher the Drive, the lower the Output. While with traditional tube preamps, the saturation affects mainly the transient peaks, you can apply saturation to the entire audio signal by selecting Omni Tube.
